Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by heading to the village of Unterwasser. From Emmental, take the A6 highway towards Thun, then merge onto the A1 towards Zurich. Take the exit for Aandi and follow the signs for Toggenburg. Continue on the main road until you reach Alt St. Johann. Once in the village, look for parking near Dorf 22 (the address of the Thur Waterfalls). From the parking area, the waterfalls are a short walk away. Note that parking may incur a small fee.

  To reach Thur Waterfalls via public transportation, take a train from your location in Emmental to Alt St. Johann. Depending on your starting point, you may need to transfer trains in Zurich or St. Gallen. Once in Alt St. Johann, use local buses or walk to Dorf 22.
