Getting There

Walking
From Iyela center, head east on the main road towards the Mbeya to Tunduma highway. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the fork in the road. Here, take the left fork that leads towards Ngosi. You will notice signs indicating the way to Lake Ngosi. Continue walking for another 2 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the trail leading to Lake Ngosi View Point.

Bicycle
If you're comfortable riding a bicycle, you can rent one from a local shop in Iyela. Once you have your bike, follow the same route as the walking directions: head east on the main road towards the Mbeya to Tunduma highway. After 1.5 kilometers, take the left fork towards Ngosi. Keep cycling for about 2 kilometers until you reach the trailhead for Lake Ngosi View Point. Note that the trail itself is not bike-friendly, so you will need to park your bike and hike the remaining distance.

Local Taxi (Boda Boda)
For a quicker option, you can hire a local motorcycle taxi, known as a boda boda. From Iyela, tell the driver you want to go to Lake Ngosi View Point. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic, and you should expect to pay around 5,000 to 10,000 TZS for the trip. The boda boda will drop you off at the entrance of the trail leading to the View Point, from where you will need to hike the last part.
