If you're driving from Karatu, take the B144 road towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Continue on B144 for about 30 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge as you approach the crater rim. The lodge will be on your left side. Ensure you have a map or GPS device as the roads can be winding. Note that there is an entrance fee for Ngorongoro Crater, so have cash ready (approximately $70 for non-residents).

To reach Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge using public transportation, take a daladala (shared taxi) from Arusha to Karatu. Once in Karatu, switch to a daladala heading towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge stop. Be prepared for a bumpy ride and ensure to have small change for fares. The daladala fare from Arusha to Karatu is around $2, and from Karatu to the lodge is about $1-$2.
