Car
From Karatu, head southeast on the B144 road. Follow the signs for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After about 45 minutes, you will reach the Lodoare Gate. Pay the entrance fee, which is approximately $70 per person for foreign tourists. Once you pass through the gate, continue on the main road for another hour, enjoying the scenic views of the highlands. Look for signs directing you to Kuro Ranger Post. Oliver's Camp is located near the Kuro Ranger Post, specifically at the coordinates V38G+J88. Access to the camp may require a 4x4 vehicle due to rough terrain.

Start in Karatu and take a daladala (shared minibus) heading towards Ngorongoro. Inform the driver you want to go to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The fare is around $3-$5. Upon arriving at the entrance, you will need to pay the entrance fee of approximately $70 per person. After entering, you may need to arrange for a private vehicle or guide, as public transport does not go directly to Oliver's Camp. This can be arranged at the gate or you can contact local tour operators in advance to secure a ride to the camp.
