Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Darajani Market, head south on mzungu street directly from the market. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Mkunazini Street, then turn right. Walk down Mkunazini Street until you reach the corner with Gizenga Street, where you will see the Stone Town Cultural Centre just ahead on your left. It should take around 10-15 minutes.

From the Forodhani Gardens, exit the gardens and head south towards the main road, then turn left onto Kenyatta Road. Walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach Mkunazini Street. Turn right onto Mkunazini Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Gizenga Street. The Stone Town Cultural Centre will be on your right side.

If you are near the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe), exit the fort and head east on the road towards the seafront. Turn right on Mkunazini Street and continue straight. You will pass various shops and cafes. After approximately 10 minutes, the Stone Town Cultural Centre will be on your left at the intersection with Gizenga Street.
