    If you are driving, start from Lushoto, which is a common base for exploring the Usambara Mountains. From Lushoto, take the road heading east towards the village of Nkongoi. Follow the signs for Nkongoi and continue for about 12 kilometers. Once you reach Nkongoi, look for a sign that indicates the direction to Kisimagonja Forest Reserve. The reserve entrance is approximately 6 kilometers from Nkongoi along a dirt road. Be cautious as the road can be bumpy and may require a 4x4 vehicle, especially during the rainy season. There are no entrance fees to the forest reserve itself.

    To reach Kisimagonja Forest Reserve using public transport, first take a daladala (local minibus) from Lushoto to Nkongoi. The daladalas are located at the main bus station in Lushoto. The journey takes about 30 minutes, and the fare is usually around 1,000 TZS.
