    If you are driving, start from Moshi, a popular base for Kilimanjaro trekkers. Head southwest on B1 (the main highway) towards Arusha. After approximately 25 kilometers, look for the sign indicating the turnoff to Kilimandege. Turn left onto a smaller road and follow the signs for Kilimandege. The journey should take around 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic. Make sure your vehicle has a good GPS or map application as some smaller roads may not be well-marked.

  • Public Transportation (Matatu)

    From Moshi, take a matatu (shared taxi) heading to Arusha. You can find these at the main bus stand in Moshi. Once you reach the junction for Kilimandege (approximately 25 kilometers from Moshi), inform the driver of your destination. They will drop you at the nearest point. From there, you may need to walk or hire a local taxi to reach Kilimandege itself.
