Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Moshi, which is a common base for visitors to the Kilimanjaro region. Head southwest on the A23 highway towards Arusha. After about 30 km, you'll reach the junction for the B1 road towards Mkuzi. Follow the B1 for approximately 30 km until you reach Mkuzi town. From Mkuzi, take the dirt road that leads towards the waterfall for about 5 km. Be prepared for uneven terrain and possibly require a 4x4 vehicle. Parking is available near the waterfall entrance.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus or shared taxi (dala-dala) from Moshi to Mkuzi. These services depart frequently from Moshi's bus station and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Mkuzi town, you can either hire a local taxi to take you to the waterfall or ask locals for directions to the dirt road leading to the falls, which is approximately 5 km away. Make sure to confirm the fare with the taxi driver before starting your journey.

If you are feeling adventurous and are already in Mkuzi, you can walk to the Mkuzi Waterfalls. From the town center, follow the dirt road towards the waterfall. It is a scenic walk that takes about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace. Ensure you have appropriate footwear and carry water, as the path can be steep and challenging in parts.
