Walking
Start from the center of Zanzibar City, ideally from the Forodhani Gardens. Head east along the beach until you reach the main road, Jamhuri Street. Turn right onto Jamhuri Street and continue walking past the historic sites. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will come to a junction with a sign for Masingini Forest. Follow the sign and turn left onto the road that leads to Masingini. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers until you arrive at the entrance of Masingini National Forest Reserve.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from any local shop in Zanzibar City, preferably near the Forodhani Gardens. Start cycling east toward Jamhuri Street. Once on Jamhuri Street, head right and continue to the junction that points to Masingini Forest. Turn left and follow the road for about 2 kilometers. The cycling route is scenic and will lead you directly to the entrance of Masingini National Forest Reserve.

Local Transport (Dala Dala)
From the center of Zanzibar City, take a Dala Dala (minibus) heading to Masingini. You can catch this Dala Dala at the main Dala Dala station near the Darajani Market. Make sure to tell the conductor your destination. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Masingini stop and walk the remaining distance of 500 meters to the entrance of Masingini National Forest Reserve.
