Start at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, located at 1400 Market St, Chattanooga, TN 37402. From the Choo Choo, walk to the nearest bus stop at the Chattanooga Bus Station. Take the CARTA (Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority) bus route 4, which heads towards Lookout Valley. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes, and get off at the stop nearest to the intersection of W Hills Dr and Lookout Valley Rd. From there, walk west on W Hills Dr for approximately 1 mile until you reach Raccoon Mountain Caverns and Campground at 319 W Hills Dr.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local rental shop in downtown Chattanooga. Head west on Riverfront Parkway towards the Tennessee Aquarium and cross the bridge over the Tennessee River. Continue on the bike path that leads you to Lookout Valley. Follow the signs to Raccoon Mountain, which is about a 6-mile bike ride from downtown. Once you reach W Hills Dr, turn right and continue for another mile until you reach your destination.

For an adventurous walk, start at the Tennessee Aquarium located at 1 Aquarium Way, Chattanooga, TN 37402. Walk west on Aquarium Way, then take a left onto Riverfront Parkway. Continue walking along the river until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Lookout Valley Rd. Follow the road as it curves and look for W Hills Dr. Turn right onto W Hills Dr and walk approximately 1 mile until you arrive at Raccoon Mountain Caverns and Campground.
