Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Northshore area, head east on River Street towards the Tennessee River. Continue walking until you reach the pedestrian bridge that crosses the river. Cross the bridge, and once you reach the other side, continue straight on River Street which becomes Chattanooga Creek Road. After about a mile, you will reach the intersection with Patten Road. Turn left onto Patten Road and walk for approximately 1.5 miles. You'll see signage for Rock City Gardens on your right. The entrance is located at 1400 Patten Rd, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750.

  • Public Transportation

    Take the CARTA bus route #2 (Northshore) from any nearby bus stop in Northshore. You will need to ride until you reach the terminal at the Chattanooga Choo Choo. From there, transfer to the CARTA route #3 (Lookout Mountain). The fare for each ride is $1.00 and you can pay with cash or use a CARTA pass. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop near the entrance to Rock City Gardens, which is approximately a 30-minute ride. Once you disembark, it's a short walk to the entrance at 1400 Patten Rd.

  • Biking

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Northshore. Head east along the Tennessee River on the Riverwalk until you reach the pedestrian bridge. Cross the bridge and continue along the designated bike paths towards Lookout Mountain. Follow the bike routes to Patten Road. It's about a 4-mile ride, and you will have to navigate some hills as you approach Rock City Gardens. The entrance is located at 1400 Patten Rd, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750.
