Getting There

Songthaew
From your location in Chiang Mai, head to the nearest Songthaew station. Look for a red Songthaew, which is a shared taxi. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Mae Taeng' or 'Baan Chang Elephant Park' specifically. The driver will take you towards Mae Taeng District, which is about 30 kilometers north of Chiang Mai city. The fare should be around 40-60 THB, and the ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of Baan Chang Elephant Park, which is located on Unnamed Rd, Tambon Ki Lek, Amphoe Mae Taeng.

Public Bus
You can also take a public bus from the Arcade Bus Station in Chiang Mai to Mae Taeng. To get to the Arcade Bus Station, you can take a Songthaew or a Tuk Tuk. Once at the bus station, look for a bus heading to Mae Taeng. The bus ride will take about an hour and will cost around 50 THB. Upon arrival in Mae Taeng, you can either take a local Songthaew or a motorbike taxi to Baan Chang Elephant Park, which is about 15 minutes away. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination.

Bicycle Rental
For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Chiang Mai. Head north on Highway 107 from the city center towards Mae Taeng. The distance is about 30 kilometers and takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on your cycling speed. Follow the signs towards Mae Taeng, and once you reach the area, look for Unnamed Rd. Baan Chang Elephant Park is located on this road. Make sure to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen during your ride.
