Walking
Starting from the center of Same, head towards the main road, Avenida 12 de Novembro. Walk along Avenida 12 de Novembro until you reach the junction with Rua de São José. Turn left onto Rua de São José and continue walking. After about 500 meters, you will reach a small roundabout. Take the first exit at the roundabout onto Rua da Paz. Follow this road for approximately 1 kilometer, and you will come to a sign indicating the direction to Dili. Continue straight until you reach the outskirts of Same. From here, look for local signage or ask locals for directions to the Statue of Youth, which is approximately 8 kilometers away along the main road to Dili.
Bicycle
If you have a bicycle, start from the center of Same and head towards Avenida 12 de Novembro. Cycle along this road, then make a left onto Rua de São José. Continue for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Rua da Paz. This route is more accessible for cyclists and follows the main road towards Dili. The Statue of Youth is about 8 kilometers ahead. Look for local markers or ask locals if you need help directing to the statue.
Local Transport (if available)
Check for any local mini-bus or 'kolektif' services that run from Same to Dili. If available, take a kolektif from the main bus station in Same. Inform the driver that you are going to the Statue of Youth; they may drop you off nearby. Keep an eye out for local signage that indicates you are approaching Dili, where the Statue is located.
