From Ortahisar, start at the Ortahisar Castle, which is a prominent landmark. Head northeast on the main road (Atatürk Caddesi) towards Ürgüp. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by local shops and cafes. As you approach the outskirts of Ortahisar, look for signs directing you toward Göreme. Once you reach the intersection with the main road (D.300), turn left and continue straight for another 1 kilometer until you see the entrance to Göreme Historical National Park on your right.
