Walking
From the center of Göreme, head east on Müze Caddesi towards the main road. Continue straight until you reach the bus stop on your right (approximately 500 meters). Here, you can catch a local bus heading to Avanos. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Avanos, get off at the main bus terminal. From the bus terminal, walk towards the direction of the Özkonak Underground City, which is approximately 10-15 minutes away on foot. Follow the signs directing you towards Özkonak Yeraltı Şehri Yolu, and you will find the entrance to the underground city.

Public Transport
From Göreme, take a minibus (dolmuş) towards Avanos from the main bus stop in Göreme (located on the main road). The ride takes about 20-25 minutes. Once you arrive in Avanos, ask the driver to drop you off near Özkonak Yeraltı Şehri Yolu, or you can walk from the Avanos town center. It's about a 20-minute walk. Look for signs directing you to the underground city, and you will arrive at your destination.
