  • Public Transport - Tram

    If you are near the Taksim area, head to Taksim Square and find the Taksim tram station. Take the Taksim-Kabataş funicular down to Kabataş, then transfer to the tram. Board the T1 tram in the direction of Bağcılar and get off at Sultanahmet station. From the tram station, it’s a short walk to Hagia Sophia. Head straight down Divan Yolu Street and take a left on Sultanahmet Square. Hagia Sophia will be directly in front of you.

    If you're staying in the Sultanahmet area or nearby, you can easily walk to Hagia Sophia. Just follow the signs towards Sultanahmet Square. If you are coming from the Blue Mosque, simply walk across the square towards Hagia Sophia. The mosque is located at Ayasofya Meydanı No:1, so look for the large dome and minarets as your guide.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    If you are in the Eminönü area, you can take bus line 28 or 30D from the Eminönü bus stop. Get off at the Sultanahmet stop. After disembarking, walk towards Sultanahmet Square, where you will see Hagia Sophia directly ahead. The walk from the bus stop is about a 5-minute stroll.
