Getting There

Walking
Start at the Fongafale main road, heading southeast towards the center of the island. As you walk, you will encounter local shops and cafes. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the main intersection near the Tuvalu Maritime Training Institute. From the intersection, head towards the beach area where you can see the ocean. Funamanu is located along the coast, so follow the beach path to your left. Walk for another 10 minutes along the sandy path, enjoying the scenic views of the lagoon. Funamanu should be visible, a beautiful spot to enjoy the natural surroundings.

Bicycling
If you prefer to ride a bicycle, you can rent one from a local shop in Fongafale. Start by heading towards the main road and cycling southeast. After about 1 km, you will reach the main intersection near the Tuvalu Maritime Training Institute. At this point, turn left towards the beach. Cycle along the beach path, which is about 2 km long, and enjoy the ocean breeze. Funamanu will be at the end of the beach path, where you can dismount and take in the beautiful views.
