From Mbale town, head northeast on the Kampala-Mbale highway (A7). After approximately 5 km, turn left onto the road leading towards Budadiri. Continue on this road for about 10 km until you reach the Budadiri trading center. Here, inquire about the direction to Kyakondo Falls, as local guides can assist you. The last few kilometers may require a rough road; ensure your vehicle is suitable for this terrain.

From the Mbale bus station, take a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Budadiri. The fare is usually around 5,000 UGX. Inform the driver you wish to get off at Budadiri trading center. Once you arrive at Budadiri, hire a local guide (cost varies, generally 10,000-20,000 UGX) to take you on foot to Kyakondo Falls, which is approximately a 30-minute hike from Budadiri.
