If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Kibale National Park, head towards Fort Portal on the A109 road. After approximately 12 kilometers, turn left onto the road marked for Isunga. Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers, and then keep an eye out for the sign indicating Crater Lake viewpoint. You will need to drive on an unpaved road for the last 2 kilometers, which may require a 4WD vehicle, especially during the rainy season. Ensure you have enough fuel before embarking on this trip, as gas stations are limited in the area.
