Getting There

Bicycle
From the center of Fort Portal, head north on Kabarole Road towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Fort Portal - Kamwenge Road. After about 3 kilometers, you will see a sign for Kibale National Park on your right. Turn right and continue straight until you reach the Kanyanchu Visitor Center, which will be on your left.

Walking
Starting from the main market area in Fort Portal, walk east along the main road (Kabarole Road). Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Fort Portal - Kamwenge Road. Turn right and walk for about 3 kilometers until you see the sign for Kibale National Park. Follow the road to the left and continue until you reach the Kanyanchu Visitor Center.

Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)
From anywhere in Fort Portal, you can easily find a boda boda (motorcycle taxi). Tell the driver you want to go to Kibale National Park, specifically the Kanyanchu Visitor Center. The journey typically takes about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Just make sure the driver knows the exact location before you set off.

Public Taxi (Matatu)
Head to the taxi park in Fort Portal located near the main market. Look for a matatu heading towards Kamwenge. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Kibale National Park. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you get off, it's about a 10-minute walk to the Kanyanchu Visitor Center, following signs to the entrance of the park.
