Private Car
From the center of Rwenzori Mountains National Park, head southwest on the main road towards Kasese. Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction near the town of Kasese. At the junction, take the road heading toward Fort Portal. After about 10 kilometers, look for signs pointing to Ntanda Crater Lake. Follow the signs for approximately 8 kilometers until you reach Roots Cottages & Campsite, which will be located near the lake.

Public Transportation
From Rwenzori Mountains National Park, take a taxi (shared minibus) to Kasese. The fare typically ranges from 5,000 to 10,000 UGX, depending on your starting point. Once in Kasese, transfer to another shared taxi heading towards Fort Portal. After about 10 kilometers, alight at the junction where you see signs for Ntanda Crater Lake. From there, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) for the remaining 8 kilometers to Roots Cottages & Campsite. The fare for the boda boda should be around 5,000 to 10,000 UGX.

Bicycle Rental
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Rwenzori Mountains National Park. Cycle southwest on the main road toward Kasese for about 30 kilometers. At the junction near Kasese, take the road toward Fort Portal. Continue cycling for about 10 kilometers, then look for signs to Ntanda Crater Lake. The total cycling distance is around 48 kilometers, so ensure you are prepared for a long ride. Bring enough water and snacks, and factor in the cost of bike rental, which generally ranges from 10,000 to 20,000 UGX per day.
