Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving to Sipifalls, start from the Mount Elgon National Park main entrance. Head east on the Sipi - Kapchorwa Road. Follow the road for approximately 12 km. Look for signs directing you to Sipifalls, which will be indicated along the route. The falls are located just off the main road, so keep an eye out for parking areas as you approach. Parking is typically available near the falls, and no special fees are required.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Sipifalls via public transport, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) from Mbale to Sipi. The matatus depart regularly from Mbale's main taxi park and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Sipi, you can either walk or hire a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Sipifalls. The boda-boda ride will take around 10-15 minutes and usually costs between 5,000 to 10,000 UGX depending on your negotiation skills. Make sure to confirm the price before starting the journey.
