Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the Hoverla Mountain area and head southwest towards the village of Yaremche. Follow the signs for T-09-04 road. Continue on this road for about 20 kilometers until you reach the village of Vorokhta. From Vorokhta, take the R-24 road heading towards the town of Rakhiv. After approximately 30 kilometers, you'll find signs directing you to the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve Chornohirskyi Reserve Massif. Parking may be available near the entrance, but check in advance for any fees.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve using public transportation, take a bus from Hoverla to Yaremche. Buses leave regularly from the central bus station. Once in Yaremche, transfer to a bus heading to Rakhiv. After about 30 kilometers, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop for the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve Chornohirskyi Reserve Massif. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary. Expect to pay a small fee for the bus ride, typically around 50-100 UAH depending on the distance.

• Hiking

  For the adventurous, consider hiking from Hoverla Mountain to the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve. Start at the base of Hoverla and follow the marked trails heading southeast toward Chornohirskyi Reserve Massif. This hike will take several hours and is recommended for experienced hikers due to the challenging terrain. Carry enough water and snacks, and ensure you're prepared for changing weather conditions. No additional costs are required for hiking, but ensure you have a good map or GPS device to guide you.
