Bus
From Aberdeen city center, head to the bus station (Aberdeen Bus Station, Guild Street). Look for the bus service heading to Inverurie. Buses such as First Bus service 37 or 40 run frequently. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach Inverurie bus station. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving at Inverurie bus station, exit and head northeast on High Street.

From Inverurie bus station, walk along High Street towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto West Church Street. Continue straight until you reach the A96. Cross the road using the pedestrian crossing and then turn left onto the A96. Follow this road for a short distance until you see a sign for Barra Hill on your right. Follow the path leading up to Barra Hill, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the A96.
