Walking
If you are in the city center, make your way to Union Street. Head northeast along Union Street until you reach the intersection with King Street. Turn left onto King Street and continue walking until you reach the roundabout at the junction with the A90. Take the first exit onto the A90, and as you walk along, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Old Aberdeen. Follow the A90 until you reach the entrance to Old Aberdeen. Once in Old Aberdeen, continue straight on to Dunbar Street. The Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Archives will be on your left at Dunbar St, Old Aberdeen, AB24 3UJ.

From Union Square Bus Station in the city center, take the number 1, 2, or 3 bus towards Old Aberdeen. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'St Machar Drive' stop. From there, walk along St Machar Drive until you reach the junction with Dunbar Street. Turn left onto Dunbar Street, and the Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Archives will be located on your left at Dunbar St, Old Aberdeen, AB24 3UJ.
