From the city center of Cambridge, head to the main bus station located at Drummer Street. Take the Stagecoach bus number 7 or 7A towards 'Duxford' or 'Whittlesford'. The journey will take around 25 minutes. Get off the bus at the 'Duxford' stop. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes towards the IWM Duxford Staff Entrance, following signs towards the Duxford Imperial War Museum.

Walk to Cambridge Train Station, which is about a 15-minute walk from the city center. Catch a train towards Whittlesford Parkway. The train journey will take about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at Whittlesford Parkway, exit the station and walk towards the A505. Cross the road and continue walking for about 30 minutes until you reach IWM Duxford Staff Entrance.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental stations in Cambridge. Head south on the A10 towards Duxford. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and you will find bike paths along the way. Follow the signs for IWM Duxford to reach the Staff Entrance.

For those who enjoy walking, you can take a scenic route from Cambridge to IWM Duxford. Start from the city center and head southeast, taking the footpaths towards Duxford. The walk is approximately 5 miles and will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the A1301 and then the A505 towards the museum. Be sure to check local maps for the best walking paths.
