Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from Cardiff Central Station, exit the station onto Station Approach. Turn right onto the main road and follow it until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto North Road. Continue walking straight for approximately 15 minutes. You will pass several landmarks including Cardiff Castle on your left. Eventually, North Road will turn into Cathedral Road. After about 10 minutes on Cathedral Road, you will see the entrance to Bute Park on your left. Continue straight until you reach the end of the park, then cross over the road. The Monument to Nye Bevan will be located in an open area near the entrance to the park on your left side.

    From Cardiff Central Station, head to the bus station located adjacent to the train station. Catch the number 24 or 25 bus towards 'Cardiff Bay'. Get off at the stop called 'City Hall'. From there, walk down King Edward VII Avenue towards the park, and you will see the Monument to Nye Bevan on your left side right before you enter Bute Park.
