Start at Chester Town Hall, located in the city center. Head south along Northgate Street until you reach the intersection with Eastgate Street. Turn right onto Eastgate Street and continue straight until you reach the Eastgate Clock. From there, walk towards the main gates of the Chester City Walls. Follow the wall path until you reach Bridge Gate, which will be on your left. Once you reach Bridge Gate, continue walking towards the River Dee and you will see Old Dee Bridge ahead.

If you are near Chester Cathedral, exit the cathedral grounds and head towards Abbey Square. From Abbey Square, take a left onto St. Werburgh Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Watergate Street. Turn left onto Watergate Street and walk until you reach the riverfront. Take a right along the River Dee path, and you will see both Bridge Gate and Old Dee Bridge as you follow the river.

From Chester Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the city center via the A56 road (City Road). Continue straight until you reach the main shopping area at Foregate Street. Turn left onto Foregate Street and follow it until you reach the junction with Eastgate Street. Turn right onto Eastgate Street and walk towards the Eastgate Clock. Follow the same route along the City Walls to Bridge Gate, then head towards the River Dee to see Old Dee Bridge.
