Follow the A745 for approximately 1 mile, and you will see signs for Buittle Castle. The castle is located on your left at the address Buittle Castle, Castle Douglas DG7 1PA. Parking is available on-site.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Dumfries to Castle Douglas. Once you arrive at Castle Douglas bus station, you can either walk or take a taxi to Buittle Castle. The walk is about 2 miles and will take approximately 40 minutes. Head southeast on Queen Street, then turn onto the A713. Continue for about 1 mile before turning onto the A745 towards Buittle. Alternatively, a taxi from the bus station to Buittle Castle will cost around £10.
