Train
From Edinburgh, head to Waverley Station. Purchase a ticket to Aberdour on the train to Kirkcaldy. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Aberdour Station, exit the station and turn right, following the signs to the village. Continue straight until you reach the main street, where you will see signs for the harbour.

From Edinburgh City Centre, take the Lothian Bus number 7 or 8 towards Dunfermline. You will need to get off at the stop for Aberdour. The bus ride takes about 50 minutes. After getting off the bus, walk towards the village center, following the signs that lead you to Aberdour harbour, which is a short 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer a scenic route, you can walk along the Water of Leith Walkway to Leith, and then take a bus to Waverley Station. Once at Waverley Station, buy a ticket to Aberdour.
