Getting There

From the city center of Edinburgh, head to the bus stop at St Andrew Square. Take Lothian Bus number 41 towards 'Cramond'. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the display at the bus stop for the latest schedule. Get off the bus at the 'Cramond Village' stop.

Once you are dropped off at the 'Cramond Village' stop, walk down the road towards Cramond Beach. Follow the signs that direct you to the waterfront. You will come across a picturesque promenade that leads to the beach. Continue walking along the beach until you reach the causeway leading to Cramond Island. Please note that the causeway is only accessible at low tide, so check the tide times before you go.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in the city or use a bike-sharing service. From the city center, head towards the North West of the city, following the cycle paths towards Cramond. The ride takes about 30-40 minutes, and you'll enjoy scenic views along the way. Once you arrive in Cramond Village, park your bike and walk to the beach to access the causeway to Cramond Island.
