Getting There

  • Bus

    From Edinburgh city centre, you can take the Lothian Buses number 62 or 67 towards Melrose. Board the bus at any of the main stops, such as at Waverley Bridge or St Andrew Square. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. You should get off at the 'Melrose, Abbey St' stop. Once you alight, walk along Abbey Street until you reach Priorwood Gardens, which is just a short stroll away.

  • Train and Walk

    Start at Edinburgh Waverley Station and take a train heading to Tweedbank or Galashiels. The train journey takes about 50 minutes. Disembark at the Tweedbank station. From there, it's about a 30-minute walk to Melrose Gardens. Exit the station and head southeast on the A6091. Continue straight until you reach Melrose. Look for signs directing you to Abbey Street; Priorwood Gardens will be on your left.

  • Walking

    If you're up for a long walk, from the city centre, head south towards the South Bridge, continuing straight onto the A7.
