If you are in the city center, start at the Edinburgh Waverley Train Station. Exit the station onto Market Street. As you exit, turn left and walk towards the North Bridge. Cross the North Bridge and continue straight onto the High Street (Royal Mile). Walk along the Royal Mile, passing notable landmarks like St Giles' Cathedral. After about 10 minutes, you will reach Parliament Square. The Signet Library is located on the right side of the square. Look for the entrance to The Signet Library, and once inside, head towards The Colonnades.

From anywhere in Edinburgh, you can take a bus towards the city center. Look for services such as Lothian Buses 3, 5, 7, 8, 14, 30, 33, or 49. Get off at the 'Parliament Square' stop. After disembarking, walk towards Parliament Square. The entrance to The Signet Library is located at the square. Once inside, head towards The Colonnades.

If you are near a tram stop, take the tram towards York Place and alight at 'St Andrew Square'. From St Andrew Square, walk towards the east and head down to the North Bridge. Cross the bridge, and continue straight onto the High Street (Royal Mile). Walk for approximately 10 minutes until you reach Parliament Square. The Signet Library will be on your right. Enter the library, and proceed to The Colonnades.
