    If you are starting from the Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, exit the station and walk towards the East Market Street. Head straight, and you will come to a roundabout. Take the first exit onto the North Bridge and continue walking across the bridge. Once you reach the top of the bridge, turn left onto the High Street (Royal Mile). Follow the Royal Mile until you reach St. Giles' Cathedral. From there, continue west along the Royal Mile. After passing the Scottish Parliament, you will come to Lawnmarket. Lady Stair's Close will be on your right, where you will find Lady Stair's House.

    From the Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, walk to the bus stop located on North Bridge, which is just outside the station. Take any bus heading towards 'Grassmarket' or 'Lawnmarket'. Get off at the 'Grassmarket' stop. From there, walk up the hill towards the Royal Mile. Once you reach the Royal Mile, turn left and walk until you spot Lawnmarket on your right. Lady Stair's Close will be located shortly after you turn onto Lawnmarket.

    From the Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, walk to the nearest tram stop at St. Andrew Square. Take the tram heading towards 'York Place'. Get off at the 'West End' stop. From the West End, walk along Lothian Road until you reach the junction with the Mound. Turn left up the Mound and continue until you reach the High Street (Royal Mile). Turn right and proceed along the Royal Mile until you reach Lawnmarket, where you will find Lady Stair's Close on your right.
