Getting There

  • Walking

    Start your journey from Inverness city center, at the Inverness Castle. From the castle, head south on Castle Street until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Ness Walk, and continue straight for about 1.2 kilometers until you reach the traffic lights. Cross the road and continue straight onto the A9. Follow the A9 for approximately 1.5 kilometers, then take the first exit onto the B9006 towards Kirkhill. Follow this road for about 4 kilometers until you reach the village of Kirkhill. As you enter the village, keep an eye out for Wardlaw Road on your left. Turn left onto Wardlaw Road, and continue straight until you see the Wardlaw Mausoleum, which will be on your right.

    From Inverness city center, make your way to the bus station located on Margaret Street. Take bus number 4 (or any bus heading towards Kirkhill). The bus will take you towards Kirkhill, and you should get off at the stop closest to the Kirkhill village center. Once you get off the bus, walk along the main road (B9006) for about 400 meters until you reach Wardlaw Road. Turn left onto Wardlaw Road, and the Wardlaw Mausoleum will be on your right after a short walk.
