Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, the Blue Pools in Glen Rosa are located near the village of Brodick. From Brodick, take the A841 road towards Blackwaterfoot. Continue on the A841 for approximately 6 miles until you reach the turn-off for Glen Rosa. Follow signs for Glen Rosa, which will lead you to a small parking area near the start of the trail. The parking may be limited, so arrive early if possible. There is no cost for parking.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, take the bus from Brodick to Blackwaterfoot. The bus service operates regularly, but be sure to check the latest schedule. After arriving at Blackwaterfoot, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles back towards Glen Rosa. Look for signs indicating the path to Glen Rosa. This route will take you along a scenic road leading to the entrance of the valley. Note that the bus fare from Brodick to Blackwaterfoot is around £3 per person.

• Walking/Hiking

  Once you arrive at the Glen Rosa car park (if driving) or at the trailhead (if walking from Blackwaterfoot), follow the well-marked hiking trail that leads into the Glen. The trek to the Blue Pools is approximately 1.5 miles and is moderately challenging. Be prepared for uneven terrain and bring appropriate footwear. The scenic views make the hike worthwhile, as you will be surrounded by beautiful landscapes. There is no cost to access the hiking trail.
