If you are driving from Windermere, take the A591 towards Ambleside. Continue on the A591 until you reach the junction with the A590. Take the A590 towards Barrow-in-Furness. Follow the A590 for approximately 12 miles, then take the exit for A5074 towards Grange-over-Sands. Continue on the A5074 which will lead you directly into Grange-over-Sands. Look for signs indicating the direction to Cartmel, which is a short drive away.

Once you arrive at Grange-over-Sands station, exit the station and head southwest on the A5074 towards the town center. Follow the signs to Cartmel, which is approximately 2 miles away. You can either walk or take a local taxi from the station to reach Cartmel.

If you are coming from Coniston, take the A593 towards Ambleside. At the roundabout, take the A591 towards Kendal, then merge onto the A590. Continue on the A590 and take the exit for A5074 towards Grange-over-Sands. Follow the A5074 into Grange-over-Sands, where you will find signs for Cartmel. It is a short drive from Grange-over-Sands to Cartmel.
