Walking
From Castlefield, head east towards the Bridgewater Canal. Follow the canal path until you reach the junction with Deansgate. Turn right onto Deansgate and continue walking for about 10 minutes. You'll pass various shops and restaurants. After about 0.5 miles, you will see the entrance to Manchester Art Gallery on your left at Mosley Street.

Public Transport - Tram
From Castlefield, walk to the nearest tram stop, which is 'Deansgate-Castlefield'. Board a tram on the Altrincham line towards Altrincham or a tram heading towards Piccadilly. Get off at the 'St. Peter's Square' stop. From there, walk south on Peter Street, then take a left onto Mosley Street. The Manchester Art Gallery will be on your right after a short walk of about 5 minutes.
