Walking
If you are starting from Newcastle Central Station, exit the station onto Neville Street. Turn right and walk towards the Quayside, crossing the road to reach the footbridge. Walk across the footbridge for a beautiful view of the Tyne. Once you are on the other side, continue straight until you reach the main road, then turn left onto the Quayside. Walk along the riverside, taking in the sights until you reach the Millennium Bridge. Cross the Millennium Bridge and walk straight ahead until you reach the roundabout. Continue straight onto Stowell Street, and the Black Friars Postern Gate Plaque will be on your right at 38-42 Stowell St.

From any stop in the Newcastle Metro system, board a Metro train heading towards the city center and get off at the Haymarket station. Exit the station and head south on Northumberland Road, which will turn into Stowell Street. Continue walking straight along Stowell Street, and you will find the Black Friars Postern Gate Plaque located at 38-42 Stowell St on your left.

From the Eldon Square Bus Station, board any bus heading towards the city center. Get off at the stop nearest to the Theatre Royal. From there, walk down Grey Street towards the Quayside.
