Walking
If you are starting from Nottingham Train Station, exit the station and head towards the right onto Station Street. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto the A6008 (Canal Street) and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will pass the Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery on your left. Continue straight until you reach the Old Market Square. The Council House will be directly in front of you.

From Nottingham Train Station, walk to the nearby tram stop called 'Station Street'. Board the tram heading towards 'Clifton South'. Get off at the 'Old Market Square' stop. Once you exit the tram, head towards the large building that is the Council House, which will be just a short walk away, directly in front of you.

If you are near the Victoria Centre, look for the bus stop for the 'Nottingham City Transport' buses. Take any bus that heads towards the city centre (check for routes including the 1, 3, or 5). Get off at 'Old Market Square' bus stop. The Council House will be a short walk away across the square.

From the Nottingham Castle, exit the castle grounds and walk down the steep hill towards Nottingham's city centre. Continue straight until you reach the Old Market Square. The Council House will be located at the centre of the square, recognizable by its large dome.
