If you're driving from the northern areas of the Peak District, take the A6 south towards Derby. Merge onto the A38 towards Derby. Exit the A38 at junction 12 and take the A514 towards Swadlincote. Follow signs for Ticknall. After entering Ticknall, follow the signs for National Trust - Calke Abbey. The estate has a dedicated car park. Be aware that there may be a parking fee, and the entrance to the abbey is free for National Trust members.
