Car
From Perth, take the A9 road heading north. After approximately 60 miles, take the exit toward Kingussie/A86. Continue on the A86 for about 6 miles until you reach Kingussie. Once in Kingussie, follow signs for Ruthven Barracks. The barracks are located just a short drive from the town center, approximately 2 miles along the B9152 road. Look for the signs indicating Ruthven Barracks, and you will find parking available nearby.

From Perth, take a train to Kingussie. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Kingussie station, exit the station and head towards the main road (A86). You can either walk or take a local taxi to Ruthven Barracks, which is about 2 miles away. If walking, follow the A86 and then turn onto the B9152. The barracks will be signposted along the way.
