If you're traveling by car, the most straightforward route to Loch Tay is via the A9 from either Edinburgh or Glasgow. From Edinburgh, take the A90 and then the M90 to connect to the A9 northbound. Continue on the A9 until you reach the A827 junction. Take the A827 towards Aberfeldy and follow the signs to Killin, which is located at the western end of Loch Tay. The drive offers beautiful views of the Scottish countryside, and you should allow approximately 2 hours from Edinburgh and 1.5 hours from Glasgow.
