From Stirling city centre, head south on King Street towards the Old Town Jail. Continue straight, passing the Stirling Castle on your left. Follow the road as it becomes St John's Street and then turns into Dumbarton Road. After approximately 0.5 miles, take a left onto the A811 road towards Glasgow. Walk along this road for about 0.3 miles until you see Old Drove Road on the right. Turn onto Old Drove Road, and after a short walk of about 0.4 miles, you will arrive at Gillies Hill Hillfort.

From Stirling Bus Station, take the number 59 bus towards Glasgow. Get off at the stop for 'Dumyat Road' after approximately 10 minutes. From there, you will need to walk back along the road for about 0.2 miles until you reach Old Drove Road. Turn left onto Old Drove Road and walk for about 0.4 miles to reach Gillies Hill Hillfort.
