The Cotswolds Distillery, situated in Stourton near Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, is the first and only full-scale working craft distillery in the designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty known as the Cotswolds. Founded in 2014 by Dan Szor, a former finance professional from New York, the distillery has quickly gained acclaim for its meticulous production of single malt whisky and a diverse range of gins. The site spans approximately four acres, blending traditional distilling methods with a modern, sustainable approach to spirit making.

Immersive Tours and Tastings

Visitors can join award-winning guided tours that run daily at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm, providing detailed insights into the distillation process, from grain to glass. These tours culminate in a tasting session in the welcoming tasting room, where guests sample the full range of spirits including the flagship Cotswolds Dry Gin, Old Tom Gin, and the 7-year-old single malt whisky. A unique highlight is the opportunity to fill your own bottle of whisky directly from a cask, offering a personalized souvenir. Tours last approximately 1-2 hours and cost £25 per person when booked in advance.

The Still House Café and Onsite Shop

Adjacent to the distillery is the Still House Café, a relaxed venue where visitors can enjoy locally sourced food such as freshly made sourdough pizzas, sharing boards, and specialty coffee from nearby Monsoon Estates. The café features indoor seating as well as an outdoor terrace for al fresco dining during warmer months. The shop and café are open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sundays from 10am to 5pm.
