Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, use the following directions: From Birmingham City Centre, take the A457 road towards Dudley. Follow the A457 until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto the A461. Continue on the A461, following signs for Dudley. After approximately 5 miles, take the exit for the A4036 towards Dudley. Continue on the A4036 until you reach Discovery Way. The Black Country Living Museum will be on your left. There is a car park available on-site, which incurs a parking fee of approximately £5 for the day.

  • Train

    For those using public transportation, take a train from Birmingham New Street Station to Dudley Port Station. Trains run regularly and the journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Dudley Port, exit the station and catch the number 1 or 2 bus towards Dudley Town Centre. It’s a short bus ride (approx. 10 minutes). Get off at the 'Dudley Zoo' stop, and from there, it's a 15-minute walk to the Black Country Living Museum along the Discovery Way. Be sure to check the latest train and bus schedules for any changes in service.

    If you prefer to travel by bus, you can catch the number 126 or 127 bus from Birmingham City Centre, which takes you directly to Dudley. The journey takes about 40 minutes. You will need to get off at the 'Dudley Bus Station'. From there, transfer to the 1 or 2 bus that goes to 'Dudley Zoo'. After getting off at the 'Dudley Zoo' stop, the museum is a 15-minute walk along Discovery Way. A single bus fare is approximately £2.50.
