Train and Bus
From York station, take a train to Thirsk. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Thirsk station, exit the station and walk to the bus stop located just outside the station. Catch the Arriva Bus 31 towards Sutton Bank. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Sutton Bank Visitor Centre stop. The Sutton Bank National Park Centre is a short walk from the bus stop, and you will see signs directing you to the centre.

From York, you can take the Arriva Bus 142 directly to Thirsk. The journey takes around 1 hour. Once in Thirsk, change to the Arriva Bus 31 which goes to Sutton Bank. Get off at the Sutton Bank Visitor Centre stop. The National Park Centre is an easy walk from the bus stop, with clear signage available.

If you prefer a scenic route, you can walk to the nearest bus stop in York that services Thirsk. Take the bus from there to Thirsk and then change to the Arriva Bus 31 towards Sutton Bank.
