If you are starting from the Capitol Reef National Park Visitor Center, drive south on Utah Route 24 for approximately 10 miles. Look for the Halls Creek Road turnoff on your right (west). This road is unpaved and may require a high-clearance vehicle, so make sure your car is suitable for this type of terrain. Continue on Halls Creek Road for about 5 miles until you reach the parking area at the trailhead.

From the Halls Creek trailhead parking area, follow the marked trail that leads into Halls Creek Canyon. The hike to the Narrows is about 2 miles one way.
