From the Capitol Reef National Park Visitor Center, head west on UT-24 for approximately 4.5 miles. Turn left onto Capitol Gorge Road. Follow Capitol Gorge Road for about 2.5 miles until you reach the parking area. Once parked, continue on foot along the Capitol Gorge Trail to reach the Pioneer Register, which is about a 1-mile hike from the parking area.

Public transportation options are limited in this region. However, if you are using a shuttle service, inquire if they offer a drop-off at Capitol Gorge Road. Once dropped off, follow the same directions as for car travel: walk approximately 1 mile along the Capitol Gorge Trail to reach the Pioneer Register.
