    From the Capitol Reef National Park Visitor Center, head southeast on Utah State Route 24 (UT-24) for approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto the Capitol Reef Scenic Drive. Continue down this road for about 7 miles until you reach the end of the scenic drive at the Capitol Gorge parking area. Park your car here. From the parking area, you will need to hike approximately 2.5 miles to reach the base of Navajo Dome. Follow the Capitol Gorge Trail, and as you approach the end of the gorge, look for trail markers leading towards the Navajo Dome.

    After parking at the Capitol Gorge parking area, start your hike along the Capitol Gorge Trail. The first part of the trail is relatively flat, but as you continue, you will encounter some rocky terrain. Keep an eye out for the Navajo Dome, which will start to come into view as you progress.
